Our morning was review the sounds we've learned (p, o, u, m, a, x), and we started a reading unit about friends.
It is my goal to read three picture books a day (it's great for vocabulary and comprehension) and this week the books will be related to friends. What a joy to read.
In math we began to explore zero and drawing pictures related to word problems. The problems haven't started, but drawing a picture related to words I say is what the focus is.
In these photos the students are talking about their apple picture they drew.
The music teacher (Miss Plagmann) was so pleased with the class and their behavior today. That made me so happy! I know these kids are wonderful, and now they are spreading their joy to other teachers s well.
We are learning about our center time (we call it hippo time) and will soon be working independently. It was fun to show the listening hippo today and the fine motor hippo.
