You may get tired of hearing about how wonderful our day is... But, again, it was a great day!

I introduced a new letter, sound and character today. Meet Daisy Dragon.

There was time spent on writing the letter and connecting all four parts (letter name, letter sound, the character's name and the action).

We continued to talk about Friends with another story. And then...We practiced our rotations! It was kind of great!

Kids were listening to a book.

Kids were working with letters and rhyming.

Kids were reading.

Kids were working their fine motor skills.

And I was working with individual kids! Soon I hope to have groups of kids getting better at knowing the letter names and sounds. That is the big work of Kindergarten and we are ready to tackle it!

In math we had an opportunity to review writing numbers (1--a straight line down, 2--curve around, stop, slide, 3--curve around, stop, curve around). Saying these instructions really helped and some of the kids got even better at writing because THEY said the instructions out loud.

Then we had a bit of a partner time with writing the numbers.

PE was awesome (I'm sure) and Music again was a good report from their teacher (she really loves our class!!!).

We ended our day by voting for their favorite t-shirt design from PTO, and then we discussed our new dismissal plan.

See? A great day!!!
